LIFE AS SIMPLE AS… A.B.C.

A B C D E F G H I J K… Ok. Ok scratch that.

I didn’t mean to remind you of the 26 English alphabets learnt in Nursery school. Basically, this is just to point out the fact that life isn’t as tough as one assumes it to be but rather LIFE is synonymous and indeed as simple as A. B. C. Just like a child eats, sleeps, plays and enjoys every minute of the day, it is safe to see life from a whole new perspective- through the eye of a child. Then you will learn how easy things could turn out to be if you take it in strides while being armed with basic elements that could propel you to achieving great heights.

Firstly, life as defined is said to be the existence of an individual or animal. Going back to Genesis chapter 1, we clearly see the wonders of God’s creation. From light to darkness, morning and night, water, sky and land, vegetation, animals etc. and He saw it was good.

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

This He did. He created Man… for a “PURPOSE”. There are no coincidences. Life is created for some purpose and that is left for us to discover in our journey through this world. This by no means isn’t meant to sound theological, actually it is the reality.

Back to the topic… Life as simple as A.B.C. How you many ask?

Let’s break this down on the surface level to make this article concise. A stands for Advisory, B is for Brand and C is what I will call Communication. Our understanding of these concept will be explained further and in no particular order.

BRAND

You, I, the man down the street, your colleague, sibling, spouse, Oprah, Richard Branson, Patient Jonathan, Rev. King, Donald the Trump practically everyone is a brand- this is classified under the personal brand. There is the McDonald, Arik Air, Shell company, Iya Basira foods, Dudu Osun, CNN, Baba Ijebu, Okey Japan Electronics, Heritage Bank (of course yes! what were you expecting? Lol) classified under the Business/Corporate brand.

Whether it is a personal or business brand, there is the tangible and intangible elements that contribute to building a brand; but then you need to clearly understand that perception is reality. Perception is key in this image-driven world. Hence, an audit is important to move on and as such, it begs the need to know the following; what is your essence? What makes you unique? How do you want to be perceived? What are your values? What motivates you? Where do you see yourself? How to do you intend to achieve your goals? & lots more.

Nevertheless, there should be a conscious effort to pay attention and nurture the basic elements that will help you develop a well-defined brand- successful and able to differentiate you from the lot. And your ability to articulate and project your brand values and essence will earn you a higher rating wherever and whenever you find yourself.

… to be continued

Now, that you’ve been able to understand how life is synonymous to Brand(ing). You need to look inward and ask yourself three important LIFE CHANGING questions;

“Am I merely existing or am I living?” “What is my purpose?” “How can I do things differently to achieve a better result?”
